Within any healing profession, there is an element of self healing involved – make sure your coach has reached a personal level of solid understanding before you work with them. Self Developement Concept

Why people don’t change

Have you ever wondered why you want to change a particular behaviour in your life, you have read tons of books and articles about the subject, and yet you still are unable to permanently change this aspect of your life? Often, when you stop to think about how long you have been trying to make these change, you may realise it has been months, years, or even decades, and still you have not been able to keep these long term changes in your life.

The most common reason for this scenario is the presence of beliefs, habits, or sub-conscious behaviours which are remain undetected, and can make change seem unfamiliar, creating fear and anxiety when trying to make improvements to your life. It is often easier and more comfortable to stay the same.  The good news is that everything we do, think, or feel has some element of learnt behaviour within it. If it is learnt it can be undone and changed for the better.

Sometimes it is helpful to have an external person who has the experience and knowledge to understand your situation, and to be able to recognise the things that are holding you back. This is where coaching is invaluable – not only will your coach be able to recognise beliefs and patterns which are stopping you from moving forward, they will also be able to help you with taking step by step action, and providing support whilst you integrate these new ways of being into your life permanently.
